While the House has yet to pass its version of a faith-based bill, it appears that the proposal’s most noxious element, the charitable choice exemption, will remain on the cutting room floor. Does the shredding of the centerpiece of the administration's "compassionate conservative" domestic agenda signal an end to the president's obsession with pursuing faith-based solutions to vexing social problems?
