Comment: Disorder by Decree: Why Judges Don't Need to Sabotage Democracy to Protect Rights
This grant supports the research and writing of a book on judicial decrees. David Schoenbrod and Ross Sandler will trace the evolution of the use of judiciacrees and examine a sample of decrees to measure their effectiveness in achieving their stated goals and their impact on the capacity of elected officials to manage government operations. The book will develop a series of policy recommendations to reformthe decree process.
