Comment: Restoring Justice: Preventing Crimes, Helping Victims
Lawrence Sherman will research and write a book on criminal justice policy initiatives commonly referred to as restorative justice. The project will examine the evidence produced by a series of experimental evaluations of restorative justice programs, analyze longitudinal data from jurisdictions that have implemented restorative justice policies, and conduct survey work to determine how many jurisdictions in the United States are incorporating restorative justice policies into their criminal justice systems.
