Comment: How Are Charter Schools Being Held Accountable for Results?
Bryan Hassel will examine how state authorities and school boards exercise authority over charter schools. He will conduct a national descriptive study of charter school renewal decisions in order to determine how accountability mechanisms are enforced. The project will result in a research report, a policy report, and a publicly available database of all charter school renewal decisions.
