The Islamists and the West: Clash of Cultures or Clash of Interests? This grant supports an examination of the variations in attitudes and policies of Islamist groups toward the West. Fawaz Gerges will undertake extensive fieldwork in Egypt, Jordan, the Palestinian territories, Lebanon, Algeria, and Turkey that will assess how Islamists formulate policies toward the West. This project will result in a book, a policy article, and a policy conference to disseminate its findings. |
