This grant supports a project that will promote the exchange and dissemination of information on emerging issues related to the prevention of adolescent pregnancy. In conjunction with the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, five roundtables will be organized around panel presentations and open discussion by expert participants with backgrounds in research, policy and program development, and service provision. A report will provide a synthesis of the presentations for wider dissemination.

This grant supports a project that will examine the role of marriage in contemporary society, especially the possible links between declines in marriage rates and increases in the number of children living in poverty and/or exhibiting negative child, family, and community outcomes. The project will consider the policy implications of changing marriage and divorce patterns and possible interventions or policies that affect marriage. The findings wil be disseminated in reports and professional publications.
