This grant supports research on the role of Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in shaping cross-strait relations. Shelly Rigger of Davidson College seort to research and analyze the factions, ideological perspectives, and policy positions of the DPP and the party's effect on the evolution of Taiwan's domestic politics and its foreign and defense policies. The project will result in a monograpseries of briefings to the policy community.
