Kate Sylvester will prepare a report to document how state and local governments have responded to the problem of statutory rape and its role in teenage pregnancy. The project will review and synthesize the literature on teen pregnancy and its relationship to the prevalence of sexual intercourse between teenage girls and adult men. The project will also conduct interviews with a sample of state and local officials to report on policy approaches that they have implemented to address these issues.
