Comment: America's Alliances with Japan and Korea in a Changing Northeast Asia
This grant supports a research project that examines how the U.S. security alliances with Japan and Korea should be adjusted in light of the end of the cold war. The prt will commission research by American, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese scholars that will analyze the origins, dynamics, and roles of these alliances. The papers will be disseminated as working papers, presented at periodic conferences, and published as an edited volume.
