This grant supports a study of how states and faith-based organizations respond to the rules set forth in the charitable choice provision of the 1996 welfare reform law. Profiles of state responses will be constructed and then tracked over three years. Dissemination will include a scholarly book and "best practice" reports, which will give overviews of stateand faith-based organization responses to the charitable choice provision.
